9 Months

Abby turned 9 months right before she and I left for our big trip to UT with the choir and so I never got around to posting.  I'm sad that I can't remember all of the little things that she learned how to do during this month but here are a few:

• Still a little lightweight at 16.1 lbs (20%) but pretty average for height 27 1/4 inches (48%)
• Loves to say hello in the manner of the 3rd Reich (if you know what I mean. Ha!) and then tries to swipe at your nose.  Not sure what her thing is with noses.
• Loving solid foods and getting better at picking things up off her tray.  She'll eat a whole bowl of oatmeal with mashed banana or applesauce for breakfast.
• Still wakes up once during the night and struggles with nap times.  She is just a social girl and doesn't like being alone.
• Started crawling and quickly after trying to pull herself up into a standing position.
• Took her 2nd airplane ride to see Grandma and Grandpa Badger and aunts, uncles and cousins and did really well.
• Still charming everyone with the huge smile of hers.
• Wearing 6 and 9 month clothing depending on what it is.  The 9 months are still a little baggy though.
• Said her first word(s) "Uh oh" and repeats it over and over all day long and knows how to use it correctly.  I didn't think I said it that much but I guess I do!  It's pretty funny when she says it in church when it's really quiet. 
• Also babbles Dada but isn't quite sure what it means yet.
• Gets very excited when Daddy comes home in the afternoon.
• Can find the word "hi" when two cards are placed in front of her.
• Loves playing with her toys and chewing on EVERYTHING!

 I still like snoozing in the swing while mom gets ready for the day

 I LOVE to read books

 I like to play WITH and ON the toys

 Grandma and Grandpa were in Cabo for the week and since we couldn't go I decided to pretend we were there!
