Bud's 30th Birthday was a week long event. I wanted it to be really special and really fun for him since I knew he was kind of dreading it. Wednesday, May 12th was his actual birthday and since I was surprising him later that week we decided to just go to Famous Dave's for some yummy BBQ and free ice cream Sunday. That night I told him we were going to do a fun activity on Friday night but I couldn't tell him what it was. He tried guessing a few times but never figured it out. What I had done was arranged for a bunch of our friends and family to meet us at Jesterz Improv Comedy Club. It's a place that does clean improv comedy skits and they use audience participation. There ended up being 8 couples that were able to come and it was SO fun. They even pulled Bud up on stage for the final skit and he was such a good sport. He even fed the actors funny lines. We were laughing so hard. Someone got a video of it so I will try to see if I can get a hold of it. After the show we went to an ice cream shop and celebrated with some dessert.

Saturday I decided to send him on a "Guys Day Hiking Adventure" with our friend Eric from our Ward. They left at 6:00 am and headed up to Wilbur Canyon for some hiking and repelling through the canyons. They had a blast but didn't get home until 1:00 am the next morning due to getting a little turned around at one point. If you click on the pictures you can make them bigger. The last two are photos of how torn up his legs got on the hike. They were going through lots of canyon pools so they wore their swimsuits instead of pant but since we've had so much rain this year there were tons of prickly bushes everywhere and they had to go right through them. All in all I think he had a great birthday!

YIKES, his poor legs. lol.

What a fun birthday! You're such a good wife to think of what HE would want to do!

And I can't IMAGINE Bud up there in front of ALL those people!
He seems so shy, normally!
I have to see that video!
