3rd Anniversary

 We had a great 3rd anniversary!  We took advantage of the fact that we are living with family and I surprised Bud by taking him on our first night away without Abby.  I found a fantastic deal on a 4 star hotel on priceline, was able to get great tickets to the Padres baseball game from a friend of the family and I did it all without Bud knowing a thing.  All he knew is that we were going to spend the day together and that we would start by going to the San Diego temple to do a session.  I packed everything the day before and loaded it in the car while he was at work.  To make it more fun I wrote a fun little clue that led us to each destination.  First the temple, then his grandparent's house for some ice cream (I had to pick up the tickets to the game), to Coronado island to check into the hotel, dinner and then the Padre game.  I really confused him when I took him to his grandparent's house because he thought I might be picking up tickets but when we didn't change our clothes and we passed by the stadium to go to the hotel he started wondering.  He was super surprised that we were staying overnight and we had a great time.  The hotel was beautiful but to be honest the bed was kind of hard and they charged us $25 for parking.  Sheesh!  That's the pricey hotels in San Diego though.  They were nice and gave us a room upgrade when they found out that it was our anniversary though.  All in all it was a wonderful and much needed get-away.

I made Bud stop at Sprinkles for some cupcakes because I'd never been.  Kind of overpriced for a bunch of sugar but they were ok.  Maybe I didn't get the right kind?
