Enrichment Kick-off

These pictures are a little old but this is our first big enrichment activity of the year. We celebrated the 166th birthday of the Relief Society and it was really fun. Our goal was to set the tone for enrichment for the rest of the year. So we also used it as our enrichment activities kick-off and introduced the upcoming activities. We decided to have four groups: Crafty Sisters, Let's Cook 101, Physical Activity and a Sewing Club. We will keep these groups for about three months and then we will change it up a little so no one gets bored and we aren't doing the same thing all the time. We had an "on time" raffle which my sister made some cute prizes for and it worked great! Almost everyone was there before 7:00 pm and we were able to start on time! I have a great enrichment committee and enrichment leader and that helped a lot. Here's to a good year!

We played what I call "Sister Minute" (speed dating style) to break the ice and get to know each other better.
My old roommate Adele made some AWESOME cakes and we had fruit, veggies and salsa to round out the goodies.

We decorated the tables using cute tissue paper and center pieces that we used at our wedding to hold candles but we stuffed them with flowers and added some Valentines candy for looks.

We opened the divider after the spiritual portion of the meeting to reveal the four tables that our enrichment groups decorated. Then the sisters got to go around and check out the upcoming activities and sign-up for them.

I love the different group ideas. So you have stuff related to the group on the table with the sign up. Is a different person in charge of each group? Or how does that work? Love the idea. Our birthday bash is next week I will let you know how it goes.
