As You Wish

This morning I met up with some girlfriends that I used to go to singles ward with and haven't seen for a while. Instead of the traditional "go out to lunch" we met at a place called "As You Wish". It is a pottery place where all of the pieces are white and you pick something and paint it and then they fire it in the kiln. I was pretty intimidated because I feel like "artistic" creativity is not my strength (I leave that up to Shelley) so I went for something simple. I just picked a square tile and after 15 min of pondering decided I would just paint some flowers on it and use it for my stove to rest spoons on while I am cooking. Then after another 10 min of picking colors I finally got started. Needless to say the other gals were done way before me but they were sweet and stayed to wait for me. Two of them brought their babies and did hand and footprints on coasters which was so cute but the babies didn't think it was very fun. It will definitely be a good memory though. I'll give you an update when I get my finished piece on Tuesday.
