Our Christmas Surprise

We are home from AZ and had a great time hanging out with Bud's family. We had a mini family reunion since all ten kids were in town and it was great to see everyone. Mom and Dad Packard's house is well on it's way to being completed and bud worked hard for about 5 days putting in all the new cabinets. It is not easy work and mom wants it to look perfect (I guess I don't blame her) and fortunately everyone lived to do more work.

We enjoyed staying with Jackie and Dave (Bud's sister and brother-in-law) who just had a baby in November. Baby Owen is SO cute and it made us anxious to tell our parents about the surprise we'd been keeping from them. But Christmas Eve and Christmas day finally came and we surprised both sets of parents by putting the picture below in a frame.

I know it's not much. The ultra sound was actually taken at 5 weeks but I was 7 weeks by Christmas. All my tests were negative so I actually had to have blood work down to found out I had this little peanut inside of me. We are SO excited and are looking forward to seeing something more at our next appointment a week from tomorrow. I have been battling nausea for the last two weeks but have been able to keep all of my cookies down (if you know what I mean). I'm learning how often I need to eat and what agrees with me and hopefully this won't last too much longer. We hope you all had a Merry Christmas and we look forward to the adventures that await us in 2010!

Congratulations!! How exciting! You two will be wonderful parents. I hope you start feeling better soon. I always thought 9 months was a long time, but it has flown by for us and now we only have 2 weeks left. It's an exciting adventure!
